Great Northern Day is a celebration dedicated to the culture, spirit, and community of the North. The people, places, creativity, and character that make it so special.
2025 marks the first Great Northern Day, and we’re kicking things off with a free community event full of food, drink and music at the brand-new Darley Street Market courtyard in the heart of Bradford.
This is just the beginning. Our ambition is to grow Great Northern Day into an annual, cultural celebration – a day to come together in recognition of what it means to be Northern.

If you're driving, the nearest parking is at The Broadway, Kirkgate or Westgate. Both Bradford Interchange and Forster Square train stations are within a 10-minute walk, and the Bradford Interchange bus station is also a short walk away.
